The company was quick to accommodate to interns despite the pandemic and they did this by making the internship mostly remote. For interns that need to be on site (ex. to do experiments) it was a hybrid internship and was still mostly remote. The people were very nice and always eager to help despite having better things to do. My manager was very attentive and kind and always checked in with me to make sure I was getting the best out of the internship.
What I wish was different
I do wish the pay was higher and that they were more flexible with the duration of the internship as they only offer summer internship. It also would have been nice for interns to receive some of the employee benefits to such as being able to go overtime and paid for it.
Advice
Have a clear idea of what skills you expect to learn from the internship, and do a lot of networking.

What I liked
I was given free reign to complete my projects. Had a mentor who I was assigned to and worked with a really supportive team. Held weekly seminars with the company executives who talked about how they got to the place they currently are.

Analytical Chemistry Intern

What I liked
They were very interactive with their interns. Interns had a lot of responsibilities in their field, and they also got the opportunity to meet with seniors and other interns from various departments.
What I wish was different
Although there were many company interns and a few opportunities to connect with them, there was not much daily interaction with other interns/ people outside of my small group (3 people including me). I would have liked more interaction.
Advice
Putting in the time to really understand what we were doing on a deeper level than simply surface level understanding I was given in the initial orientation/overview was very helpful and noticed by my superiors, and they respected me, appreciated my work, and gave me more opportunities and responsibilities when I did so.

What I liked
The work environment, some of the other interns that were in my program, the awesome technology
What I wish was different
I wish I was a little more confident in myself. I made up for that by giving a really good presentation talk at the end of the internship.
