Description
Premium Analytics, Compliance & Treaty interns are assigned a supervisor who will provide on-the-job training, guidance, and feedback throughout the internship period. This structure affords the opportunity to work side- by-side with experienced reinsurance data analysts and treaty specialists working with internal premium data and analyzing client treaty information. Interns can expect to learn about reinsurance treaties and client data, the basics of life and health insurance, as well as reinsurance premium rates and reporting. Interns will also have the opportunity to work on process improvement projects and expand their knowledge of Excel and SQL. Projects vary and are based on the current workload within the various departments. Examples of intern projects include, but are not limited to the following:
• Assist in implementation of SharePoint compliance repository
• Creating Microsoft SQL Server database tables and importing data
• Review OCR and compile treaty rate tables for model support process
• Treaty administration in local software system Sage
• Implementation of new issue tracking system
• Other duties as assigned
Additionally, as part of the internship experience at Hannover Re, interns will be able to hone their business communication and interpersonal skills through various networking opportunities.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• In an accredited bachelor’s degree or master’s degree program
• Concentration in Mathematics, Computer engineering, Finance, Accounting, or other relevant degree program, with a minimum GPA of 3.5
• Prior internship experience preferred
• Excellent analytic, communication (written and verbal), and leadership skills
• Detail-oriented
• MS Excel proficiency
• Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible
• Extra-curricular activity involvement
