Project Controls Specialist

About the Position: Serves as a Project Controls Specialist. Responsible for performing
duties in support of project management, control, coordination, and execution of Civil Works projects and providing leadership and direction regionally with respect to scheduling and budgeting activities, change management, and risk assessment practices.
Duties
- Subject matter expertise in analytics and project controlsthroughout the entire life cycle of civil works projectsassociated with flood risk management, navigation, hydropower, ecosystem restoration, and water supply.
- Manages the overall implementation and successful operationof automated information systems and works alongside others to establish best practices, inform business processes, and ensure data quality.
- Provides mentorship and conducts trainingon the use of automated information systems, financial databases and project scheduling.
- Applies mathematical modeling and statistical approaches to conductanalysis, recommend solutions, resolve issues and create forecasting models to inform decisions.
- Prepares and delivers reports,presentations, and briefingsto staff and leadership on findings from analysis.
- Evaluates HQUSACE and regional policies, procedures, and guidelines for implementation.
- Maintains open communication with team leaders at HQUSACE, other divisions, and districts.
