Early Edge Education is an afterschool learning center focused on helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and excellence in Math and English. We provide personalized, small-group instruction that builds deep understanding and prepares students for academic success and competitive opportunities.
We’re looking for a passionate, experienced Math Instructor to join our growing team. If you love teaching math, mentoring young learners, and shaping curriculum that challenges and inspires, this is the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Teach group math classes for students in elementary through middle school (ages 6–14).
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that emphasize conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and competition readiness.
- Create and refine enrichment materials and practice sets for math contests such as Math Kangaroo, AMC, or Math Olympiad.
- Assess student progress and provide individualized support to help every learner grow in confidence and skill.
- Contribute to curriculum design, teaching resources, and innovative classroom practices.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that makes math fun and meaningful.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees a plus).
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring math at the elementary or middle school level.
- Strong understanding of enrichment or competition-style math (e.g., Math Olympiad, AMC, Singapore Math, or similar).
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- A growth mindset , someone who enjoys creating curriculum, exploring new teaching methods, and mentoring young thinkers.
- Availability for after-school and weekend hours (3:30–6:30 PM weekdays; Saturday mornings).
