HOURS: Once a week, in-person, from 3pm-6pm
COMPENSATION: $63 per hour

Groton Hill Music Center is the premier nonprofit organization in the region for outstanding music education, professional performances, and community engagement programs. Our Community Engagement division is partnering with the Greater Lowell Boys and Girls Club, and we are seeking a Music Production Instructor to work with students at the Club.
This role involves teaching group music production classes for students in grades 3 through 8. Classes will occur after school hours, and students will learn the fundamentals of music production.
PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The instructor will teach weekly music production classes from 3pm-6pm at the Lowell Boys and Girls Club. Responsibilities include:
1. Utilizing a variety of teaching styles and methods to cater to diverse learning styles within the group.
2. Demonstrating and providing clear explanations of concepts and techniques.
3. Incorporating engaging activities and exercises to make learning fun and interactive.
Groton Hill faculty members are expected to:
1. Inspire and share their passion for music production with students.
2. Set high standards for students' technical skills and musicality.
3. Communicate clear expectations while working toward shared goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates should possess a degree in music and have at least three years of teaching experience. Applicants should have expertise in music production as well as the ability to work effectively in a classroom or group instructional setting. Candidates should have strong familiarity with one or more of the following platforms: Pro Tools, Logic, FL Studio, and/or Ableton.
The ability to reliably and consistently travel to - and arrive on time at - the Boys and Girls Club in Lowell, which may not be readily accessible by public transportation, is essential.
