Major Brent Taylor Foundation - Programs Manager

The One Utah Service Fellowship is an AmeriCorps program that provides opportunities for young adults to participate in sustainable and high-impact service, addressing the critical priorities and needs in Utah while supporting debt-free pathways to higher education. 

The Major Brent Taylor Foundation was created to honor the legacy of Major Brent Taylor, a devoted husband and father, a courageous military officer, and a dedicated public servant. His life was defined by service, leadership, and sacrifice, and this foundation exists to ensure that his impact continues to inspire and uplift others. 

The Major Brent Taylor Foundation develops future leaders through scholarships and leadership training, honors military members, first responders, and their families for their selfless service, and engages communities in meaningful acts of service that strengthen unity and patriotism. 

Job Summary: 

- This position is 18.75 hours per week for 6 months 

- Minimum of 450 hours 

Responsibilities may include: 

- Developing partnerships with community groups and organizations 

- Developing or expanding volunteer program 

- Recruiting, managing, and or training volunteers 

- Updating and maintaining resource database 

- Assisting individuals in phone calls or other necessary communication with resources and community organizations 

- Community Engagement Support 

- Developing marketing campaigns

Eligibility Requirements: 

- Be 17 years of age or older 

- Have a high school diploma or GED 

- Pass State & Federal background checks 

- Be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Legal Permanent Resident

Member benefits and details: 

- Fellow will receive a living allowance twice monthly of $409.09 

- Upon completion, successful fellows earn an education award of $1,956.35, which can be used for education costs up to cost of attendance or for eligible student loan repayment 

- Fellows may qualify for loan deferment and interest forbearance on federally- guaranteed student loans, with potential interest repayment while serving
